Apply for our first Parent Advocacy Fellowship
Virginia Excels’ Parent Advocacy Fellowship is a grassroots movement that has one goal: empower local parents to demand an excellent public education for ALL students. We will do this by mobilizing parents who have a clear passion for improving our education system.
This fellowship will empower public education advocates by connecting them to each other and then preparing them to improve our schools together. Prepare parents for community advocacy through our program that is designed to give them the necessary tools, information, and network to work for true, system-wide change that is in the best interest of kids.
The purpose of the 12-week opportunity is to teach, through learning by doing community advocacy focused on improving our public education system. At the end of this program participants will have the skills, confidence and experience to drive change in their community.
